The PPS Group

This company came to us with an interesting proposal that went something like this. "Gee we're a large Post House and one of our major clients wants us to do their VHS duplication. How can we put together a 175 VCR production dub lab from the ground up?. Fast!!!!!!!!

Well, we quoted the lab, got the job and shipped a full 175+ unit lab with Off Line QC within a 3 week time frame. These guys built a dub lab in the heart of downtown Cincinnati on a busy overcrowded street on the original site of a soap plant.

Ya just gotta love America...

Within 3 months the PPS Group came back and added 40 more units.

They now operate 215 AG-6840's and are successfully duplicating at full capacity.

Jim McGrory the chief engineer at PPS designed the head end with state of the art non linear mastering that feeds live from the production facility several floors up.

Statistically speaking "VHS is the cockroach of the 21st century". DVD is a viable format and may at some point equal the saturation point of VHS but as DeLizza states " VHS may well be the last great format in history" and all others will be various forms of non-compatible optical distribution.

"So... we continue to continue......"

The shipment of VCR's have arrived. I received them late yesterday and got the standards converter unpacked and installed. It is a little ripper and in the few tests I gave it last night it performed better than what I had expected. I also unpacked a couple of the AG6810's. They are a credit to you and your staff in the way they have been packaged and presented for sale. One of my night staff thought they were brand new machines. Thank you for all you've done. I am very happy about the VCR's!
