Includes above treatment as well as rebuilding of the known weak power supply capacitors. Resurfacing of audio stack as well as replacement of pinch roller, head cleaner, elevator gear, capstan shaft and full resetting of all levels to factory record / play standards. Naturally a full cleaning & re-lubrication is also performed at the service point. During the overhaul any other repairs necessary are completed using our vast supply of used boards & parts including anything necessary to return the unit to full function except upper and or lower drum. Heads when necessary are $25.00.

Older Units. $175.00

1. Full replacement of all Rubber Parts, including pinch roller, motor pulley, idler tire, elevator load belt & 3 lower loading belts as well as certain gears known to go bad.
2. We replace the band brake and reset the back tension to factory setting using an actual Tentelometer [tape tension gauge].  The linear audio stack is resurfaced.
3. We replace both guide posts and adjust the tape path with alignment tape.
4. We clean the entire tape including lower drum tape guide: note at this point a special lower drum tape path cleaner is used if necessary which removes certain entrance area aberrations and build up which actually restores 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 DB to the SN Ratio of the RF envelope. This product involves years of research and part of our exclusive overhaul procedure.
5. Set & verify all 4 record and playback levels of the audio section using zero tone.
6. Verify recorded capstan phase, RF amplitude, RF shape.
7. During the overhaul any other repairs necessary are completed using our vast supply of used boards & parts including anything necessary to return the unit to full function except upper and or lower drum, meters or counter LED assembly. Return shipping at $25.00
